Detailed explanation-1: -It has been signed for cooperation in the development of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at Lothal, Gujarat.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi reviewed the work in progress at the site of the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal, Gujarat with the help of a drone via video conferencing today. Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister expressed happiness about the rapid pace of the project.

Detailed explanation-3: -The Government of India decided to build this heritage complex at Lothal with a view to preserve and showcase India’s rich maritime heritage and history. The proposed complex is at Lothal, which is one of the most important sites of the Indus Valley Civilization.

Detailed explanation-4: -According to Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Lothal had the world’s earliest known dock, connecting the city to an ancient course of the Sabarmati river. The National Maritime Heritage Complex commenced in March 2022 and is being developed at a cost of Rs 3, 500 crore.
