Detailed explanation-1: -The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC ) Ltd, has commissioned the largest floating solar PV project of 25MW on the reservoir of its Simhadri thermal station in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Detailed explanation-2: -Now the total commercial operation of Floating Solar Capacity in Southern Region has reached 217 MW. Prior to this, NTPC declared Commercial operation of 92 MW Floating Solar at Kayamkulam (Kerala) and 25 MW Floating Solar at Simhadri (Andhra Pradesh).

Detailed explanation-3: -NTPC commissions India’s largest floating solar PV project of 100 MW at Ramagundam, Peddapalli District, Telangana. The project is spread over 600 acres of reservoir. This would help avoid 4.36 million Ton CO2e during the life of the project.
