Detailed explanation-1: -The Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy, and Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat laid the foundation stone for the project to develop Parshuram Kund in Arunachal Pradesh.

Detailed explanation-2: -Parshuram kund is a Hindu pilgrimage centre situated at Telu Shati/Tailung area of Mishmi plateau in the lower reaches of the Lohit River, approximately 48 kms via Tohangam from Tezu, the Headquarters of Lohit District in Arunachal Pradesh.

Detailed explanation-3: -Religious importance It is a shrine of all-India importance located in the lower reaches of the Lohit River. Thousands of pilgrims visit the place in winter every year, especially on the Makar Sankranti day for a holy dip in the sacred kund which is believed to wash away one’s sins.
