Detailed explanation-1: -The 8th Indo-Kyrgyz Joint Special Forces Exercise ‘Khanjar’ was launched at the Special Forces Brigade of the Kyrgyz Republic’s National Guards in Bishkek, the host country’s capital.

Detailed explanation-2: -The eighth edition of special forces exercise, ‘Khanjar’ was inaugurated with a focus on counter-terror drills. Initiated in 2011, this is the eighth edition of special forces exercise. This year, the focus is on high-altitude warfare. In 2015, India and Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement on bolstering defence cooperation.

Detailed explanation-3: -Khanjar (English: dagger) is the annual bilateral training exercise of the Indian Army and the Kyrgyz Armed Forces. It is held at a high altitude terrain in the city of Sarsenke, Naryn Province in Kyrgyzstan. The exercise, which was started in 2011, enhances military relations between India and Kyrgyzstan.
