Detailed explanation-1: -It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc.

Detailed explanation-2: -e-SHRAM Portal:- Ministry of Labour and Employment has developed e-SHRAM portal (www.eshram.gov.in) for creating a National Data Base of Unorganised Workers (NDUW), which will be seeded with Aadhaar.

Detailed explanation-3: -In August 2021, the government launched the e-Shram portal for better execution of various social security schemes for unorganised sector workers. e-Shram is a portal created by the Ministry of Labor and Employment for the welfare of workers in the unorganized sector who are not members of the EPFO or ESIC.

Detailed explanation-4: -The portal was launched on August 26 last year to create a national database for unorganised workers, including those working in construction, agriculture and other types of industries and services, with the main objective of providing them social security and other benefits.

Detailed explanation-5: -It is a centralized database seeded with Aadhaar. It will be used for delivery of social security benefits as implemented by Central & State Ministries. It will also ensure portability of the social security and welfare benefits to the migrant and construction workers at their working places.
