Detailed explanation-1: -Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today laid the foundation stone for setting up of the Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum at Luangkao village in Manipur’s Tamenglong district.

Detailed explanation-2: -The State Cabinet had decided to set up the Museum at Luangkao Village in Tamenglong District which is the birthplace of renowned freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu and decided to name the Museum as Rani Gaidinliu Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum.

Detailed explanation-3: -Consequently, Ministry of Tribal Affairs has sanctioned ten Tribal Freedom Fighter museums to be located in Gujarat, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Mizoram and Goa.

Detailed explanation-4: -Early life. Gaidinliu was born on 26 January 1915 at Nungkao (or Longkao) village in the present-day Tousem sub-division of Tamenglong District, Manipur. She was from the Rongmei Naga tribe (also known as Kabui).

Detailed explanation-5: -The Birsa Munda Smriti Udyan sah Swatantra Senani Sanghralaya is the first museum in the government’s effort to honour tribal freedom fighters of the country. It is built inside the prison in Ranchi, where Birsa Munda died at a young age. It contains a 25 feet statue of Birsa Munda.
