Detailed explanation-1: -Kurnool is the 6th airport in Andhra Pradesh to become functional after Kadapa, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Rajahmundry & Vijayawada.

Detailed explanation-3: -The upcoming greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram in northern Andhra Pradesh is located 45 km from Visakhapatnam and 25 km from Vizianagaram. Initially the airport will be built by GMR Group to serve six million passengers per annum and it will be scaled up based on passenger traffic growth.
