Detailed explanation-1: -By Ashraf Wani: The authorities in Srinagar district have banned the storage, sale, possession, use and transport of drones and similar kind of unmanned aerial vehicles within the territorial jurisdiction of the district.

Detailed explanation-2: -Yes. To operate a drone in India, you must be registered with the DGCA and have a license to fly it.

Detailed explanation-3: -According to an official communique, the flying of paragliders, paramotors, unmanned aerial vehicles and aircraft systems, and microlight and remotely-piloted aircrafts have been prohibited. The list also includes hot air balloons, small-sized powered aircrafts, quadcopters or para-jumping from a flight.

Detailed explanation-4: -I would strongly suggest NOT to bring drone with you to the Kashmir valley. Even if you are allowed at Srinagar airport you can have security issues more in the wilderness as there is always a watch.
