Detailed explanation-1: -The Udaipur Science Centre was developed at the cost of Rs 6 crore. This amount is funded by both the Ministry of Culture, Govt of India and Department of Science, Technology & Environment, Tripura Government.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Science Centre has been established by National Council of Science Museums- NCSM Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Tripura State Council for Science & Technology, DSTE, Govt. of Tripura.

Detailed explanation-3: -Science City, Kolkata, Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata, Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), Bangalore and National Science Centre, Delhi are National level centres of NCSM.

Detailed explanation-4: -The first science museum, Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata under CSIR43, was opened on 2 May 1959. In July 1965, the second science museum of the country, the Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM) was opened in Bangalore.
