Detailed explanation-1: -As per the latest government advisory, effective 1st January 2023 (1000 hrs IST), all passengers arriving from countries identified as ‘High Risk’ will have to undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test (to be conducted 72 hrs before undertaking the journey).

A mandatory requirement for pre-departure RT-PCR testing (to be conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey) is being introduced for passengers in all international flights from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Thailand and Japan.

Detailed explanation-3: -India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued the latest set of COVID-19 travel guidelines. All international arrivals from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and Japan will now have to produce a negative RT-PCR report from a test conducted 72 hours before the actual journey.
