Detailed explanation-2: -Notes: Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi have developed a device that can generate electricity from water droplets, raindrops, water currents and even ocean waves. The device is developed using electrostatic induction and triboelectric effect.

Detailed explanation-3: -The device is called ‘Liquid-solid Interface Triboelectric Nanogenerator’ and it uses ‘Triboelectric Effect’ to derive and store the energy.

Detailed explanation-4: -When raindrops hit the device, they bridge the components to create a closed-loop electrical system. Kinetic energy from falling raindrops is effectively turned into electrical energy. Surface charge accumulates on the device as the drops hit and is then discharged as spreading water connects the two electrodes.
