Detailed explanation-1: -The logo accommodates ‘Palash flower’ ( Butea monosperma ), which is the State flower of Jharkhand.

Detailed explanation-2: -Pandey (44), a graphic designer of repute, has also designed other prestigious logos for the government of Jharkhand, regional television channel for West Bengal, Gujarat, Punjab and Maharashtra and the logo of Grievances Redressal Authority under Supreme Court of India and Sardar Sarovar Project, Gujarat.

Detailed explanation-3: -The first emblem of Jharkhand was adopted on 15 November 2000 when Jharkhand state was formed from the southern part of Bihar. This emblem consisted of an Ashoka Chakra, as depicted on the national Flag of India, surrounded by four letter Js stylised as daggers.

Detailed explanation-4: -Presently, 24 districts of Jharkhand are grouped in to 5 divisions. These divisions are: Palamu division - 3 Districts: Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar - Headquarters: Medininagar.
