Detailed explanation-1: -The Western Railway zone of the Indian Railways has introduced the “Mobile Train Radio Communication (MTRC) system”. This system will play a significant role of preventing the train accidents by effective communication.

Detailed explanation-2: -Indian Railways has introduced Mobile Train Radio Communication (MTRC) system over Indian Railways. The aim and objective for implementing MTRC is to establish direct voice communication between Loco Pilot, Station Master, Controller and also to use it for Modern Train Control System.

Detailed explanation-3: -“MTRC uses lowest time to connect calls i.e 300 milliseconds. It also has a provision of pre-defined, one - touch dialing thereby ensuring prompt communication. It ensures safety of passengers by providing effective communication between Driver and Control Room.

Detailed explanation-4: -Design of Motor Train Radio Communication System: The provision of the Digital MRTC system had an outlay of INR 5.98 crore which provided warranty for 2 years and the annual maintenance charges for 5 years. The design was provided by IIT and the approval to the new towers was provided by Western Railways headquarter.
