Detailed explanation-2: -About Channel Selector App & Portal The App & Portal offers the functionality via which consumers can view their DPO’s offerings, fetch the existing subscription details, choose & optimize channel and Bouquet selection, modify existing selection and set selection with respective DPOs.

Detailed explanation-3: -The channel owner or respective authority will have to fill in application form, where they must highlight the main agenda of the channel. Then the application will be sent to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Detailed explanation-4: -5 Lakhs per channel for a period of 5 years. Extension beyond five years for another 5 years is permitted at the registration fee of another 5 Lakhs per channel. In case of channels uplinked from abroad and downliked in India, Rs. 1 lakh per channel as annual fee is also applicable.

Detailed explanation-5: -Subscribers will only be charged the price of pay channels in addition to the network capacity. However, if a consumer opts for more than 100 channels, an additional network fee of Rs 20 will be charged for every additional slab of 25 channels.
