Detailed explanation-1: -It is India’s 51st tiger reserve and 5th tiger reserve of Tamil Nadu. It is formed of combining two wildlife sanctuaries namely Grizzled Squirrel Wildlife Sanctuary and Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary. On 8th Feb 2021, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change gave notification of this new tiger reserve.
