Detailed explanation-1: -The 2022-23 sugar export policy announced on November 5 allowed exports of 60 lakh tonnes of the sweetener on a quota-basis till May 31. Further quantities for export would be allowed after assessing the domestic production.

Detailed explanation-2: -In this regard, the government has decided to allocate sugar mill-wise export quota if 6 million tonne for the export of 2022-23. All grades of sugar, raw, white as well as refined can be exported up to the extent of quantity mentioned.

Detailed explanation-3: -To prevent the uncontrolled export of sugar and to ensure sufficient availability, the government on Saturday decided to allow sugar export at a reasonable limit of 6 million tonnes for the season beginning November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2022.

Detailed explanation-5: -ChiniMandi, New Delhi: In a notification issued on 30th day of December 2022, the food ministry has allocated 22 LMT monthly sugar quota for January 2023 to 558 mills which is 0.5 LMT lesser than the quantity allocated sugar quota in January 2022 (21.5 LMT).
