Detailed explanation-1: -Lavender has been designated by the central government as a “Doda brand product” to promote the rare aromatic plant and boost the morale of farmers, entrepreneurs, and agribusinesses involved in its cultivation as part of this Aroma Mission.

Detailed explanation-2: -The goal is to promote the indigenous aromatic crop-based agro-economy by shifting from foreign aromatics to homegrown kinds. Lavender farming was launched as the ‘Aroma Mission’ of the CSIR and Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Detailed explanation-3: -The fruit crops grown in the state are apple, almonds, walnuts, pears, cherries and apricots in temperate areas and mango, citrus, litchi, papaya, guava etc. in subtropical areas. Saffron cultivation in Jammu and Kashmir is unique in the world.

Detailed explanation-4: -The Animal Husbandry and Dairy resources of the UT can be integrated with Aroma Mission, which has already been launched in J&K by CSIR under the aegis of Union Ministry of Science & Technology. The Aroma Mission, also called as “Lavender or Purple Revolution".
