Detailed explanation-1: -The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched, Handmade for the 21st Century: Safeguarding Traditional Indian Textiles, a list of 50 iconic heritage textile crafts of India.

Detailed explanation-2: -Recently, UNESCO released a list of 50 exclusive and iconic heritage textile crafts of the country. One of the major challenges to the safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South Asia is lack of proper inventory and documentation.

Detailed explanation-3: -There are 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India. Dholavira and Ramappa Temple are the latest addition to the list under the ‘Cultural’ category. There are two more categories - Natural and Mixed.

Detailed explanation-4: -As of 2022, there are 40 World Heritage Sites located in India. Out of these, 32 are cultural, 7 are natural, and one, the Khangchendzonga National Park, is of mixed type.
