Detailed explanation-1: -Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari , inaugurated the 14.5 km long rail-cum-road-bridge over the Ganga river at Munger in Bihar through video conferencing yesterday. The bridge has been constructed on NH 333B at the cost of 696 crore rupees.

Detailed explanation-2: -Munger-Ganga bridge, constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2,776 crore will connect Munger-Jamalpur twin cities to Begusarai, Khagaria, and various districts of north Bihar.

Detailed explanation-3: -Jay Prakash Setu (JP Setu) Earlier, Rajendra Setu was the only bridge that carries railway tracks across the Ganges in the state of Bihar. It was opened in 1959.

Detailed explanation-4: -Digha–Sonpur Bridge Digha–Sonpur Bridge provides a link between northern and southern parts of Bihar. This bridge of 4,556 metres length is the second longest rail-cum-road bridge in India, after Bogibeel Bridge in Assam.
