Detailed explanation-1: -Govt enhances funding under DRDO’s TDF scheme to Rs 50 crore for MSMEs, startups.

Detailed explanation-2: -Funding under Technology Development Fund scheme of DRDO enhanced to Rs 50 crore per project from Rs 10 crore. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has approved enhancement of funding under Technology Development Fund (TDF) scheme of Ministry of Defence to Rs 50 crore per project from Rs 10 crore.

Detailed explanation-3: -The scheme will be limited to development of technologies or prototype of product having potential use for the Services. The financial criteria for inclusion of projects under the TDF scheme will be that the cost of development spread across all the required technology development phases will not exceed INR 10 crore.

Detailed explanation-4: -With 10 Crores Funding Project cost of upto INR 10 Cr will be considered for funding, subject to a maximum of 90% of the total project cost.

Detailed explanation-5: -Technology Development Fund (TDF) has been established to promote self-reliance in defence technology as a part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative. It is a programme of MoD (Ministry of Defence) executed by DRDO meeting the requirements of Tri-Services, Defence Production and DRDO.
