Detailed explanation-1: -By Press Trust of India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi would unveil a 216-foot statue of Ramanujacharya, an 11th century saint and a social reformer, in Hyderabad on February 5. The statue, described as the ‘Statue of Equality’, is located in a 45-acre complex at Shamshabad on the outskirts of the city.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Statue of Equality, also referred to as the Ramanuja statue, is a statue of the 11th-century vaishnavaite Ramanuja, located on the premises of the Chinna Jeeyar Trust at Muchintal, Ranga Reddy district in the outskirts of Hyderabad. It is the second tallest sitting statue in the world.

Detailed explanation-3: -Statue of Equality The second tallest sitting statue in the world was conceptualised by the trust to commemorate 1,000 years since Ramanuja’s birth. It cost around ‘ 1,000 crore and was majorly funded through the donations of devotees. The statue was inaugurated in February this year.
