Detailed explanation-2: -New Delhi : The Union Health Ministry has notified the Surrogacy (Regulation) Rules, 2022, with provisions on requirement of staff and their qualifications at a registered surrogacy clinic, and the application and other procedures at the surrogacy clinic, under the recently enacted Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021.

Detailed explanation-3: -The ministry of health and family welfare has notified Surrogacy (Regulation) Rules, 2022 under Notification No. G.S.R. 460(E) on 21 June 2022 which provides manner for registration, fee for a surrogacy clinic and the requirement and qualification for persons employed at a registered surrogacy clinic.

Detailed explanation-4: -The Acts allow only married infertile couples and certain categories of women to avail of ARTs and surrogacy. Sale of gametes and any payment to the surrogate mother, other than insurance coverage and medical expenses, has been prohibited. Clinics and banks offering ART procedures have to be registered.
