Detailed explanation-1: -In the meeting, 14 projects pertaining to sewerage management, industrial pollution abatement, Biodiversity Conservation, Afforestation, River Front Development and Decentralized Wastewater Treatment were approved at a total estimated cost of approximately Rs. 1145 crores.

Detailed explanation-2: -The Executive Committee of National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) approved projects worth around Rs 2,700 crore for developing sewerage infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Detailed explanation-3: -The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) sanctioned 43 projects at a total cost of Rs 2,056 crore in 2022, taking the cumulative total to 406 projects sanctioned worth Rs 32,898 crore.

Detailed explanation-4: -Namami Gange Programme is an Integrated Conservation Mission, approved as a Flagship Programme by the Union Government of India in June 2014 with a budget outlay of Rs. 20,000 crore to accomplish the twin objectives of effective abatement of pollution, conservation and rejuvenation of National River Ganga.
