Detailed explanation-1: -The Gujarat High Court has declared as unconstitutional the State government’s policy giving priority to persons domiciled in Gujarat for the purpose of cadaveric organ transplant (transplant which takes place upon the death of the donor as opposed to live organ transplants).

Detailed explanation-2: -Tamil Nadu made brain death certification mandatory in 2008, becoming the first Indian state to do so. The move improved the odds of deceased organ donations in the state. It was also the first state to create “green corridors” to quickly transport donated organs to its destined hospital.
