Detailed explanation-1: -Minority Rights Day which is observed on December 18th every year was celebrated at the National Commission for Minorities on December 16, 2022. The United Nations on December 18, 1992 adopted and broadcast the Statement on the individual’s Rights belonging to Religious or Linguistic National or Ethnic Minorities.

Detailed explanation-2: -Notes: The Tamil Nadu government will observe December 18 as Minorities Rights Day at the state level , every year. As per the State Ministry for Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamils Welfare, Rs 2.50 lakh will be earmarked for the purpose.

Detailed explanation-3: -The theme for 2022 is centred around “All in 4 Minority Rights” as part of the commemoration of the 30-year anniversary of the UN Declaration being adopted. Evert tear December 18 is marked as Minorities Rights Day.
