Detailed explanation-1: -Kathmandu, Aug 14 (PTI) Nepal’s President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday returned the country’s first Citizenship Amendment Bill to the House of Representatives for reconsideration, a month after it was passed in Parliament.
Detailed explanation-2: -The Act, which was passed in 2019, fast tracks the citizenship of people from the Hindu, Sikh, Parsi, Christian, Buddhist and Jain communities from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who entered India before December 31, 2014, without any documents.
