Detailed explanation-2: -Telecom regulator TRAI Chairman Mr. P.D. Vaghela, at the Broadband India Forum Summit on SatCom, said that India will be the first country to auction spectrum for satellite communication.

Detailed explanation-3: -Initially, a mobile network operator that was awarded a licence to operate in any of the 22 telecom circles in India was allocated frequencies in that circle for a fixed time period. After the expiry of the license, the company would have to bid to renew the licence.
