Detailed explanation-2: -The Ministry of Railways has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) for modernisation of telecommunication facilities related to operations and safety, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

Its goal was to develop telecommunication technology to meet the needs of the Indian telecommunication network. Sam Pitroda started the C-DOT as an autonomous telecom R&D organisation.
