Detailed explanation-1: -Meant to kill low altitude aerial threats at short ranges, VSHORADS is a man portable Air Defence System (MANPAD). It is designed and developed indigenously by DRDO’s Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Hyderabad, in collaboration with other DRDO laboratories and Indian Industry Partners.

Detailed explanation-2: -VSHORADS is a Indian man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) designed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It designed for anti-aircraft warfare and neutralizing low altitude aerial threats at short ranges.

Detailed explanation-3: -The Akash missile system can target aircraft up to 50 km (31 mi) away. It has the capability to neutralise aerial targets like fighter jets, cruise missiles and air-to-surface missiles as well as ballistic missiles. It is in operational service with the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force.
