Detailed explanation-1: -Bengaluru: The Tamil Nadu government filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court Thursday disallowing the construction of the proposed Indian Neutrino Observatory in Theni district, at the Bodi West Hills site.

Detailed explanation-2: -India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) is a particle physics research project under construction to primarily study atmospheric neutrinos in a 1,200 meters (3,900 ft) deep cave under INO Peak near Theni, Tamil Nadu, India.

Detailed explanation-3: -What is INO ? The India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) is now in the feasibility study stage. More than 50 scientists from about 15 Institutes and Universities in India have come together to form the National Neutrino Collaboration group (NNCG).
