Detailed explanation-1: -From October 1, Delhi government will provide electricity subsidy to only those who would want the same.

Detailed explanation-2: -Synopsis. The Delhi government has extended the last date to apply for getting electricity at subsidised rates in the national capital till November 15, 2022.

Detailed explanation-3: -Now, the state government has announced a new voluntary subsidy scheme (VSS) where it is mandatory for the people of Delhi to opt-in for the subsidy to continue getting electricity at subsidised rates beginning from October 1, 2022.

Detailed explanation-4: -At present, consumers with monthly consumption of less than 200 units do not have to pay any charges while those with consumption up to 400 units get 50 per cent subsidy. A power consumer who has not applied for subsidy can get it from the next bill cycle after submitting his application, the officials added.

Detailed explanation-5: -There are certain rules that come into play. You can avail electricity subsidy when: Your consumption of electricity is within 200 units during the billing period. You can get a subsidy of Rs 800 for consuming 201 to 400 units in a month.
