Detailed explanation-2: -Tamil Nadu government has notified the Cauvery South Wildlife Sanctuary on as the state’s 17th wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary is covering reserve forest areas in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts. It is home to 35 species of mammals, 238 species of birds and other red-listed species.
