Detailed explanation-1: -India’s entry into SCO as a full member since 9 June 2017, has been further activated with the establishment of the SCO Division in MEA and appointment of National Coordinator and Permanent Representative to SCO. There has been regular participation in various SCO meetings.

Detailed explanation-2: -On 9 June 2017, at the historic summit in Astana, India, and Pakistan officially joined SCO as full-fledged members.

Detailed explanation-3: -The SCO also gives India the chance to start global and regional counterterrorism measures as well as regional efforts to combat the illicit drug trade, which is currently being utilised by India’s hostile neighbours to do social harm and target its youth.
