Detailed explanation-1: -Recently, the Forest department of Kerala in association with Noolpuzha grama panchayat (Wayanad District) has launched the ‘Vanikaran’ (afforestation) project.

There are also 11 Wild life Sanctuaries, 2 Bird Sanctuary and a Tiger Reserve called the Periyar Tiger Reserve in Kerala.
