Detailed explanation-1: -GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Airports Limited (GAL), is developing a Greenfield International Airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh.

Detailed explanation-2: -Donyi Polo airport is the latest and only greenfield airport to be operationalised in 2022. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the government has granted in-principle approval to state government of Gujarat for development of two greenfield airports at Hirasar (Rajkot) and Dholera (Ahmedabad).

Detailed explanation-3: -The upcoming greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram in northern Andhra Pradesh is located 45 km from Visakhapatnam and 25 km from Vizianagaram. Initially the airport will be built by GMR Group to serve six million passengers per annum and it will be scaled up based on passenger traffic growth.

Detailed explanation-4: -Navi Mumbai International airport, Maharashtra-2024 The airport construction began in August 2021 and it will be fully operational by 2024. Proposed in 1997, the project finally got approved by the government in 2007. Its estimated cost is ₹16, 700 crore.
