Detailed explanation-1: -The One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) plan, for nation-wide portability of the National Food Security Act 2013 (NFSA) beneficiaries is presently enabled in all the 36 States/UTs across the country, covering entire NFSA population (around 80 Crore NFSA beneficiaries) in the country.

Detailed explanation-2: -With this, the ONORC plan is successfully implemented in all the 36 states/UTs, making food security portable throughout the country.

Detailed explanation-3: -This ration card has been launched in all states and Union Territories in the country and 20 states have already agreed to implement this scheme in their state. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the Union Budget 2021 announced that migrants in India will benefit under the One Nation One Ration scheme.

Detailed explanation-4: -Chandigarh is the first UT to introduce the ONORC Scheme with integration of DBT. It may also be noted that, Chandigarh has recently been rankedasthe Best administered UT in the country. This ONORC enables the migrant beneficiaries to get ration, even when he moves out to other states or UTs.
