Detailed explanation-1: -On March 28, 2022, Ministry of Finance has issued Faceless Jurisdiction of Income-tax Authorities Scheme, 2022 which will come in force with immediate effect.

Detailed explanation-2: -Framework. For the purpose of faceless assessment, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) which is a governing body would set up the below ‘centres’ and ‘units’, and specify their respective jurisdiction: A ‘National e-Assessment Center’ for facilitating e-assessment and central control.

Under the facility, all the cases will be completed in a faceless way in a faceless environment except for appeals that are related to evasion of tax, serious frauds, black money, international tax, and special research.
