Detailed explanation-2: -The Assam government has introduced ‘The Assam Official Language (Amendment) Bill, 2020’ in the legislative assembly. The Bill will allow Bodo language in Devanagari script as an ‘associate official language’ for “all or any of the official purposes” of Assam.

Detailed explanation-3: -It is hereby enacted in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India, as follows: 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Official Language Act, 1960. (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Assam.
