Detailed explanation-1: -The President of India who is the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, takes the salute.

Detailed explanation-2: -India celebrated its first republic day with great enthusiasm and grandeur whose preparations began weeks ago. Dr Rajendra Prasad was sworn in as India’s first president on that day. Delhi witnessed great processions by jubilant citizens, beating drums and blowing conch shells, and singing patriotic songs.

Detailed explanation-3: -The President of India unfurls the Indian flag on Republic Day (January 26) at Kartavya Path (formerly called Rajpath) in New Delhi. Whereas, the Prime Minister of India hoists the Indian flag on Independence Day (August 15) at the Red Fort in New Delhi every year.
