Detailed explanation-1: -On 26th August 1303, Alauddin Khilji of the Khilji Dynasty attacked and captured Chittorgarh by defeating Ratan Singh in a historic battle. This was an unequal battle since Khilji’s army was much bigger than Ratan Singh’s army. After winning Khilji handed over the Chittorgarh to his son Khizr Khan.
Detailed explanation-2: -Among the six rulers of Khilji dynasty, Alauddin Khilji laid the foundation of his capital Siri in 1303 A.D. He also commissioned a minar (Victory Tower) exceeding the Qutab Minar but the same could not be completed. He also excavated a reservoir known as Hauz Khaz to meet the requirement of Siri township.
Detailed explanation-3: -In 1303, the Khalji ruler Alauddin Khalji ( r. 1296–1316) captured and sacked the Chittor Fort, toppling the Guhila king Ratnasimha, after an eight-month-long siege.
Detailed explanation-4: -It wasn’t Alauddin Khalji! Ghiyath al-din Khalji, according to a Hindu inscription in the Udaipur area, was defeated in battle in 1488 by a Rajput chieftain Badal-Gora, multiplied by Jaisi into twins.
Detailed explanation-5: -According to this poem, Alauddin Khalji attacked Chittorgarh to obtain his beautiful wife Rani Padmini; Alauddin captured the fort after Ratan Sen died in a combat with king Devpal of Kumbhalner; subsequently, Padmini and other women committed Jauhar to protect their honour. The historicity of this legend is disputed.
