Detailed explanation-1: -Muskan Anand. Humayun was exiled in Persia in 1544. There as a sign of gratitude, Humayun donated the Koh-I-Noor (which was given to him by Babur ) to the king of Persia Shah Tahmasp in 1547.

Detailed explanation-2: -Since then, it has been known by that name. After Nadir Shah was assassinated, the diamond fell into the hands of Ahmad Shah Abdali of Kabul. After Abdali, it was ceded by the Afghans to Sikh King Ranjit Singh of Punjab. On his death-bed in 1839, Ranjit Singh willed the Koh-i-Noor to the Jagannath Temple at Puri.
