Detailed explanation-1: -Dhruva and Gopal III of the Rashtrakuta Kingdom defeated the early Pratihara emperors’ attempts to expand their dominion over the Malwa region and the upper Ganga basin. The Rashtrakutas defeated the Pratiharas in 790 and again in 806-07, after which they withdrew to the Deccan and cleared the way for the Palas.
