Detailed explanation-1: -Satyendra Nath Tagore was the first Indian to join the Indian Civil Service. he was posted to the Bombay ICS, where he served his entire career from 1864 to 1897. He was also the author of various Bengali and English books and translated works from Sanskrit into Bengali.
