Detailed explanation-1: -By the Rendition Act of 1881, the princely state of Mysore was reconstituted and restored to the Wadiyar dynasty. Chamarajendra Wadiyar X was groomed by the British to take charge of the administration. He was officially handed the reins of governance on 25 March 1881.

Detailed explanation-2: -Tipu Sultan died in the fourth Anglo-Mysore war at the battlefield. After the defeat, the large territory was divided into four parts, British, Marathas and Nizams took the three parts and the remaining small part was provided to Krishna Wodeyar III.
