Detailed explanation-1: -In terms of size of ELL population, California, Florida, Texas, New York, Illinois, Colorado, Washington, and North Carolina each had more than 100, 000 ELL students enrolled (see Table 1). Together these eight states accounted for more than two-thirds of the nation’s ELL student enrollment in public schools.
