Detailed explanation-1: -The tumuli are generally formed by a circular base called “tamburo” built in blocks of sandstone. A pseudo-dome sitting over is built in slabs of limestone arranged in concentric circles with decreasing diameter in order to form a shell dome.
Detailed explanation-2: -Other interpretations have, however, been brought forth, suggesting that the Etruscans in their architecture (as well as in other aspects of their cul-ture) were heavily influenced by the Greek, Western Greek, and Near Eastern traditions.
Detailed explanation-3: -Etruscan architecture looked quite different from the familiar stone temples and gleaming marble statuary of Greek architecture. Constrained by a lack of fine stone, Etruscans built their temples of wood, with terracotta roofs and ornaments. Today the wooden superstructures have almost entirely disintegrated.
Detailed explanation-4: -From about 630 BC, Etruscan architecture was heavily influenced by Greek architecture, which was itself developing through the same period. In turn it influenced Roman architecture, which in its early centuries can be considered as just a regional variation of Etruscan architecture.
