Detailed explanation-1: -Air Marshal A P Singh has been appointed as the new Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force, officials said on January 30, 2023. He will succeed Air Marshal Sandeep Singh, who will retire from service on January 31, 2023.

Detailed explanation-2: -Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari PVSM AVSM VM ADC was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on 29 Dec 1982. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Flying Instructors’ School and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.

Detailed explanation-3: -The current VCAS is Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh. He succeeded Air Chief Marshal Sandeep Singh to the post on 1 October 2021. As Vice Chief, Air Marshal Singh will directly be in charge of IAF’s ongoing capability build-up and visualizing its future technology requirements.
