Detailed explanation-1: -The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD)under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has developed a Management Information System (MIS) for stakeholders of Accessible India Campaign (AIC).

Detailed explanation-2: -What is the Accessible India Campaign? About: It was launched by the Prime Minister of India on International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3rd December 2015.

Detailed explanation-3: -Accordingly, the Campaign envisages providing features of accessibility in the three verticals of Built-up environment, Transportation sector and Information & Communication Technology ecosystem, for creation of an universal barrier free environment.

Detailed explanation-4: -All 35 international airports and all 709 A1, A and B category railway stations have accessibility features. 5% of the government buildings had been made accessible, as against the target of 50%. Only 8.73% of government-owned buses were fully accessible, as against the target of 25%.
