Detailed explanation-1: -International tourism continued to show strong performance through July 2022, with arrivals reaching 57% of pre-pandemic levels in the first seven months of 2022. International tourist arrivals almost tripled (+172%) in January-July 2022 compared to the same period of 2021.

Detailed explanation-2: -The coronavirus pandemic caused a 72% decline in international tourist arrivals in 2020 and 71% in 2021, compared to 2019. This represents a loss of 2.1 billion international arrivals in both years combined.
