Detailed explanation-1: -Goa becomes first Har Ghar Jal Certified state; PM Modi says, 10 crore rural households provided piped water connection under Jal Jeevan Mission. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said, 10 crore rural households of the country have been connected to piped clean water facility.

Detailed explanation-2: -Goa has become the first state in India to provide 100 percent tap water connections in the rural areas covering 2.30 lakh households. The Jal Jeevan Mission of the Central Government aims to provide piped water to all the rural households by 2024.

Detailed explanation-3: -Gujarat has been declared as a 100 percent ‘Har Ghar Jal’ state. In Gujarat, households in rural areas have access to safe drinking water through taps under the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ mission. About 91, 73, 378 houses in the state have water connections according to the government record.

Detailed explanation-4: -In August 2022, Goa and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu became the first ‘Har Ghar Jal’ certified State and UT respectively with 100% tap-water access.
